Pchum Ben, the precursors' celebration, is a Cambodian religious celebration celebrated by Buddhists. It is one of the longest celebrations in Cambodia, going on for 15 days. A Ben is an advertising. The initial 14 days are called Kan Ben, where towns alternate making offerings, and the most recent day is Ben Thom, extraordinary offering, where all families make offerings. Pchum Ben is praised consistently first and foremost of the tenth month, Phutrobot, of the Khmer timetable. (Around October in the western datebook.) Amid the fourteen days of Kan Ben towns alternate bringing nourishment to the sanctuaries and the pagodas. The most recent four days of Pchum Ben are open occasions in Cambodia and most Khmer individuals will visit the territory where they were conceived for family reunions. The fifteen day, Ben Thom, is the exceptional day when all families bring flooding bushel of blossoms, and kids offer nourishment, sticky rice cake and presents to the monks.it is a brilliant celebration and everybody is wearing their best garments, ladies wear splendid shaded silk scarves, pullovers and dresses. Amid the celebration extraordinary rice offerings are made that are called 'Inlet Bens'. Narrows Bens are wads of sticky rice cooked in coconut milk with different elements relying upon nearby traditions.
